Pablo for Home

$250
A Pablo Kit is a great way to get started with Arduino and Coding at home. It makes a great family project and comes with a series of activities that support learning through creative play and open exploration.

Pablo : A Programmable Drawing Machine

Pablo is a programmable drawing machine. Pablo is also a learning and teaching platform. It turns maths into visual patterns, code and electronics into creative potential, and technology into a means of creative ideation.

Pablo encourages open exploration and creative play.

The Pablo Kit uses open source electronics. It doesn’t lock you into a proprietary system. Anything you learn is yours to use and adapt to any other Arduino based project – and so are the components. Hack away- its a great way to learn.

Pablo is a great project for getting started with Arduino by making something useful, interesting, and extensible at home or at school.

Build with Pablo

Pablo is delivered as a kit that you begin by building. It is assembled without solder and can be broken down into kit form in a matter of minutes (perfect for school use and reuse). Nothing beats the feeling of building a machine from scratch, powering it up, and see its beautiful little screen say ‘Hello’ for the first time. Start here and anything seems possible.

Draw with Pablo

Once built Pablo starts-up with a Quickdraw mode that allows you to begin drawing with algorithms. You can produce thousands of varying drawings in this mode, no coding required – but you are immersed in code, algorithmic thinking, and its creative possibilities nonetheless.

Code with Pablo

Pablo’s Quickdraw mode is just the start – it is just one algorithm in a sea of possible ways of drawing and creating. Plug Pablo in and learn to program. Start with one simple command and build from there. We’ve made coding with Pablo easy, limitless, and real : you learn to code in C++ from the very beginning this makes it a great platform for all ages from primary to retirement (well… ages 10+ with Adult Supervision).

Learning and Teaching with the Pablo Platform

Pablo is designed from the outset as a platform to teach and learn with. We take learning and teaching seriously – it is not tacked on to an existing toy. When you purchase a Pablo Class Kit you get access to a growing database of lesson plans mapped to the NSW Curriculum and the Australian Curriculum. Pablo works well as a whole of school solution – as great in maths as it is in art – and across and between many other disciplines.
